Astronomy, Music, Physics —
The Earth dropped humanity's first interstellar mixtape in 1977. Said mixtape is currently about 9.5 billion miles away, and is the first human-made object to cross into interstellar space. Voyager 1 is the name of this probe, and its brave mission gave us the first pictures of Jupiter and Saturn. Affixed to the probe is a golden record, containing sounds and images of the planet Earth. This information is a "message in a bottle" of sorts, being thrown out into the endless void of space with hopes that someday, something might find it and learn that they are not alone in the universe. If somebody does find it, the record has coordinates for Earth so they can know where it came from.
