Board Games Enthusiast Ken Jennings began his record-breaking 74-game winning streak on the game show “Jeopardy!” on this day in 2004. More than fifteen years after his eventual defeat in November 2004, Jennings is still the all-time “Jeopardy!” champion, garnering more than $5.5 million across his various appearance on the long-running television series. Since his game show days, Jennings has become a New York Times bestselling author, writing six different books on the phenomenon of trivia in the United States. More recently, Jennings collaborated with “Magic: The Gathering” creator Richard Garfield to create a new trivia card game called “Half Truth”.
