Kandace Cornell is an American French girl and creator of The Chic American— an editorial platform dedicated to the art of living a French inspired lifestyle. Born in the US, to a family of proud French heritage, she has cultivated her love of French arts, culture and aesthetics, including studying fashion journalism and editorial photography in Paris. Her mother is a classically trained French chef, having graduated at the top of her class at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, refining their shared love of French cuisine. Based in Los Angeles, Kandace has spent the past ten years working in fashion and lifestyle as a former style editor for NBC and a freelance writer for Locale Magazine. She also has acquired many years of entertainment experience in Hollywood, most recently at Sony Pictures, bolstering her position as a tastemaker and social influencer. Launching soon, The Chic American official editorial destination highlights French leaders in the fashion, travel and lifestyle space as well as featured live events and personal brand collaborations. She looks forward to continuing to build an engaged community of Francophiles and resuming her travels around France, post-Covid.
