Poutine Brothers was founded by Chris and Matt, two brothers who grew up playing club hockey and frequently touring throughout Canada. Imagine being a young boy and discovering a meal in which french fries are a key ingredient… it was love at first bite. They developed the concept for Poutine Brothers as adults, and after a test run among friends, realized they had a business opportunity on their hands.
Marie and Jamie moved to Los Angeles from Paris two years ago seeking to continue their adventure in the restaurant business in what they felt was the most exciting culinary environment in the world. They spent months looking for the perfect spot to open Black Flour as a brick and mortar restaurant. They settled around the idea of building their business out of a food truck that could change locations and establish the Black Flour name in LA.
Antonios wanted to start his own business back in Greece but once the economic crisis hit Greece, he decided on a different path. Making the journey from Crete, Greece to the United States was not a decision that was easy however, when opportunity knocked, he knew that he had a chance to prove to himself all that he was capable of accomplishing. He moved to the United States in 2013 and has been enjoying life in LA running his business.
Roger Valdez and his wife Mariana started The Steamin' Burger in San Francisco early 2014. Beginning March 2020 they moved to the Los Angeles Metro Area. The Truck is a family run business with Mariana's brothers Sergio and Charlie. The concept of a steamed burger was a product of Roger and his wife experimenting in the kitchen together and deciding to capitalize on their delicious discovery.
