If you love cars, then here's where you're going to want to be
Being a car enthusiast without going to car shows is like being a football fan who doesn’t go to the games, but instead only checks the box scores and whines about Tom Brady’s fantasy stats. If you love cars then you have to experience them in person! (Or, at the very least, tune in to a virtual event.)
There’s really no other way to get a feel for a car than to see it for yourself. So, with that said, here are five events that we can’t wait to visit. Maybe we’ll see you there too:

Cruisin’ The Coast: October 3-10
Cruisin’ The Coast bills itself as “America’s largest block party,” and this year’s event promises to be nothing less. Stopping in several cities along Mississippi’s Gulf Coast, this massive gathering of hot rods and classics is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The show is a cruise-in of epic proportions, with cars being showcased up and down 30 miles of Mississippi highway. There will also be a swap meet, a parade, live music, and just general good vibes all week long.

Japanese Classic Car Show: October 30
Any fans of Hondas, Toyotas, tuners, Z-cars, and more won’t want to miss out on this year’s Japanese Classic Car Show, which takes place in Anaheim, California. On Saturday, October 30, Angel Stadium will be filled with vintage vehicles brought in by Southern California’s most passionate Japanese car enthusiasts and customizers. This year’s event will be the 16th annual JCCS, which prides itself on being the first auto show in America to exclusively feature classic cars from Japan.

Los Angeles Auto Show: November 19-28
In a city where cars are king, you can always expect the annual auto show to pull out all the stops. Just about every major carmaker will be heading to the L.A. Convention Center in November to show off their new models at the Los Angeles Auto Show, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be a purely corporate affair. There’s usually something for everyone at the L.A. Auto Show and this year’s event will include gaming, test drives, celebrity meet-and-greets, and – just for the fun of it – pet adoptions. Because who doesn’t want to go home with a new car and a new furry friend?

Chicago Auto Show: February 12-21
Fans of America’s largest car show will be treated to back-to-back action in 2021-22, as the event was rescheduled for July of this year due to Covid-19. However, next year’s Chicago Auto Show is still scheduled for February, meaning car enthusiasts won’t have to wait a full 12 months before seeing the huge collection of concepts and new models being brought in by over 20 manufacturers.

For fans of a more formal, ceremonial approach to car shows, an old-school Concours d’Elegance is hard to beat. Sure, Monterey Car Week gets all the glory, but why wait until next summer to experience hundreds of rare luxury cars in one place? The Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance in Florida has been one of the most prestigious shows in the country for over 25 years, with 27 coveted class awards that cover everything from supercars to American classics. There’s also a new class of non-traditional cars each year, with cheeky themes like “What Were They Thinking?” and “Weird and Wonderful.”
