Explore Pickleball Courts & Upcoming Tournaments in LA

Pickleball is often referred to as the “fastest growing sport in the United States,” and it has the numbers to back up that claim. CNBC reported 36.5 million people played pickleball from August 2021 to August 2022, based on numbers released by the Association of Pickleball Professionals this January. Yet in February 2022, LAist’s Sharon McNary said that Los Angeles had “too few places to play,” finding LA County had just one dedicated court out of 181 county-run parks.

Luckily, cities around the Golden State are stepping up to the proverbial pickleball net when it comes to supporting a growing sect of fanatics. Within the last few months there have been confirmed new pickleball projects or interest at cities including Newport Beach, Redondo Beach, and Long Beach. For those planning to visit Los Angeles this summer, there remain numerous options – both free and paid – to jump in on the tennis alternative.
