Absolutely GLORIOUS: The State of 2024 State Fairs Across the U.S. If you haven’t made it to a State or Regional Fair this summer, you’ve got time!
Ahhhhhhh……the great American State Fair…just thinking about it conjures up visions of buttery corn, jumbo hot dogs with the works, Ferris wheels, petting zoos, games with tchotchke prizes, the classic paper ticket rolls (yes, those still exist, albeit not everywhere) and night-time magic when sun goes down and the whole place lights-up like firecrackers on the 4 th of July.
Just about every state in the U.S. has its own State Fair – a week or two dedicated to celebrating the cultural stuff the region is known for – and, with 3,300 state and regional events that began in May and run through November, you might get lucky and find a fair within driving distance somewhere in your neck-of-the-woods. Besides, Summer 2024 has a couple weeks left – isn’t it time we had classic, American fun? If not now, when?
