This weekend marks the third annual Augusta National Women’s Amateur golf tournament, an event that began in 2019 when Augusta National Golf Club decided women were actually (SHOCK! HORROR!) worthy of playing their own championship following a heated, decades-old debate, when the organization recognized women probably should be allowed to breathe, as members, the rarified air of the club with their own dedicated championship. The 2022 event is highlighted by an astonishing international line-up of 72 seriously talented women competing over 54 holes of stroke play. The tournament runs through Saturday, April 2. Have a great round, ladies. Y’all already won by getting there.
