This Veterans Day, theTUNDRA honors United States Army General George S. Patton, known for his tremendous success commanding troops during World War II. An awe-inspiring orator known for his colorful speeches, Patton delivered perhaps his most famous speech while addressing the United States Third Army on June 5th, 1944. A rallying cry for the disillusioned troops entering their third year of this global conflict, Patton outlined the importance that every individual soldier plays in the success of the team in his profanity-ridden monologue. Patton was famously portrayed on the big screen by George C. Scott in an Academy Award-winning biographical film, cementing his status as American folk hero.
