The 25th Los Angeles Art Show kicks off today, a five-day festival featuring over 120 galleries across more than 200,000 square feet of exhibition space at the LA Convention Center’s South Hall. This year’s show is touting “the largest lineup of art programming in the city’s history”, with art from nearly two dozen countries being represented in the diverse lineup. Works from a wide variety of mediums will be on display, including paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos and even live performances. “Modern Family” star Sofia Vergara will be hosting tonight’s Opening Night Gala, with proceeds from the event benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“Art is the only serious thing in the world. And the artist is the only person who is never serious.” —
