Where would be right now without Zoom? The booming communications technology company headquartered in San Jose, California was founded by Chinese-American businessman Eric Yuan in 2011 after leaving technology conglomerate Cisco Systems along with 40 other engineers. While it took several years for Zoom to overcome a saturated video teleconferencing market, the company continued adding innovative new features and focusing on usability for even the biggest computer novices. Less than a decade after its founding, Zoom has 200 million daily users and ranked second place in Glassdoor's 2019 "Best Places to Work" survey.
